The Code welcomes its newest members from Jamaica

Properties of The Courtleigh Group, including The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, The Knutsford Court Hotel and the Courtleigh Hotel and Suites, have recently become the newest members of The Code in Jamaica to take a stand against sexual exploitation of children.

According to Group Director Marketing & Sales, Nicola Madden-Greig:

Our aim is to provide awareness of child sex tourism among our employees and in turn to the wider public through educational campaigns.

While this is currently not an issue in our industry we want to ensure that it never becomes one. Our first training session was conducted by the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse (CISOCA).

These training sessions are geared towards recognizing situations whereby minors may be in circumstances where they could be sexually exploited and to make necessary reports to the relevant authority.

We intend to work to sensitize our team members about this critical issue so they can be advocates in their communities and wherever they may find themselves in the world.”
